Halloween 2020 will be a strange one. For the superstitious folks, a FULL Blue Moon will make an appearance and daylight savings will end.

We’ve teamed up with the businesses of the Graham Avenue BID, Assemblywoman Maritza Davila, and other community partners to celebrate a safe, and socially-distanced Halloween along Graham Ave, Brooklyn’s Avenue of Puerto Rico.

This Halloween from 1PM to 4PM stop by the corner of Graham Ave & Cook St, near PS 257, for a spooky photo opportunity and contest submission.

Special thanks to Assemblywoman Davila and staff for providing pumpkins and various costume contest prizes to youth participants. Pumpkins provided, “first come, first serve.”

Face masks required & provided. Social distancing maintained.

Categories & Prizes:

• 1st Place Best Costume (no age limit) — $100 Prize & $25 Gift Certificate to Party Glitters

• 2nd Place Best Costume (no age limit) — $25 Gift Certificate to Party Glitters

• Best Family / Group Costume — $50 Prize & Twister Party Game

• 1st Place Best Children’s Costume — Children’s Bike, Backpack, Goodie Bag & Twister Party Game

• 2nd Place Best Children’s Costume — Backpack, Goodie Bag & Twister Party Game

• 3rd Place Best Children’s Costume — Backpack & Goodie Bag

Rules:

One costume entry per person.

No lewd, crude, or offensive costumes will be accepted.

Costume Competitors may not have the name of an organization or business on the sides, front, or back of the costume.

By entering this contest, you consent to SUN and partners’ posting your image on website and other social media.

All decisions made by the judges are final. All prizes are awarded after the end of the contest and winners will be contacted via email for prize distribution on Monday, November 2nd.
