OUR COMMUNITY

The Bushwick Generator, powered by SUN, is a community oriented—and most importantly, community-led—neighborhood innovation lab in Brooklyn. We are home to artists-in-residence and Pandemic relief programs.

ABOUT THE CHOIR LEADER

Faith-based music leader and community leader, Shanequa Lewis, will be leading this community choir with Sustainable United Neighborhoods/SUN Arts at the Bushwick Generator.

She began serving in the community as an elementary student and has been singing since a young age. She loves to uplift and unite with others to enhance positivity. A committed church member, she led her congregation's children's choir, adult choir and united choir.

She sees singing as a spiritual release, or expression that heals the self, as well as others. She believes that spirituality is needed in this world for all people to be united! This is an opportunity you don't want to miss but be part of.
